Yolo Experiences Ghana – celebrating and nurturing Ghanaian culture
Yolo Experiences was founded with a vision to set new standards in food & beverage hospitality, as well as the arenas of art, lifestyle retail, fashion and design in West Africa. With the opening of Icon House in 2014, which followed Santoku in 2012, Yolo Experiences are now established as pioneers in innovative restaurant concepts. The group also celebrates and nurtures Ghanaian culture, and this website is dedicated to the promotion of all that is visionary in the country in terms of quality, style, service, experience and design.
Yolo Experiences was established in the first decade of the 21st Century with the aim to bring quality products and luxury services to West Africa. Through a range of high-end, own-brand restaurants, bars, retail concepts and publishing, Yolo Experiences are setting new standards in food and beverage hospitality, as well as the arenas of art, lifestyle retail, fashion and design in West Africa. The Yolo acronym stands for You Only Live Once, and it is the group’s mantra to never compromise or settle for second best.
Yolo Experiences’ currently comprises the La Maison interior homeware design and concept stores, as well as restaurants Santoku, Coco Lounge, Urban Grill and Carbon, as well as South African café chain Vida E Caffé. In 2013 La Maison brought out a home fragrance range called Loft, which launched with a candle scent, created to represent Ghana with the flower Queen of the Night. The same year also saw the publication of Ghana Edition, the first style guide to Accra and the surrounding region.
