As I arrived, I was greeted by Adem and his welcoming team, whose relaxed approach to service really puts you at ease. Seated in the stylist’s chair, I felt comfortable surrounded by a sleek, modern and classic decor. The salon is a carefully designed sanctuary that bears his personal signature and radiates the luxury of a well-planned experience. From the discreet lighting that perfectly flatters and complements to the pillow-lined rest station, every detail is attended to with an eye for comfort. The overall atmosphere is relaxing. It’s clear that Adem’s attention to detail, personal care and commitment to quality is the signature of his salon. Adem’s salon is a unique space that attracts a very discerning clientele seeking a high-end, bespoke experience.

After a very personalised consultation with Adem, I opted for a full head of highlights followed by a cut and bouncy blow-dry. Adem’s approach to colour starts with a great deal of research to find the right shades for his clients, and in my case, he invested time designing a palette that complemented my natural tone yet added a lovely dimension to my hair.

His 15 years of experience began in a small town east of Istanbul and evolved into the successful salon career that it is today. Adem is the kind of stylist who creates looks that flatter his clients, enhance their features and increase their sense of beauty. He won the L’Oréal Colour Trophy in the Afro hair category, reflecting his versatility and skill with different looks. Small touches, such as the steam treatment following my rinse, were an unexpected treat , and left my hair ultra-soft and glossy. Adem explained that the steam treatment helps to seal the hair, locking in the moisture and adding shine as it dries. Small touches like this show that Adem is committed to the complete experience, giving each client the full benefit of his years of experience and his creative artistry.

Adem explained that his family farm in Divaniturk, Turkey supplies the product, which in turn is bottled and sold in London. I was impressed by the benefits of hazelnut oil, which is considered an excellent moisturiser for hair and skin. The oil can add moisture and softness to dull, dry hair and skin as well as the scalp. Hazelnut oil is high in vitamins A, B, D and E, and is also rich in essential fatty acids. ADEM’s collection of products is made from pure hazelnut oil, which is organic and completely natural.

I was thrilled with my cut and colour: the perfect blend of soft, natural tones revealed tones that I hadn’t noticed before. Adem’s style is natural and loose. He works with layers of dimension and movement to create looks that add volume and shape to create a multidimensional effect.
