Located between Chipping Norton and Woodstock, the Crown Inn is perfectly situated to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds. For over 300 years this Inn has been welcoming visitors and travellers as well as providing a community hub for locals. We are a family run free house and the Crown Team are part of that spirit. The Crown offers stunning seasonal, monthly-changing menus of fantastic modern British dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner in its bar, dining spaces and outside in its sunny walled garden. Above the pub, six individually decorated bedrooms and a cottage, all finished to a very high standard with luxurious beds and comforting touches throughout together with very stylish en-suite bathrooms.

Crown Cottage/Studio is set in Church Enstone, next to the Crown Inn Pub and consists of two bedrooms as a whole or one bedroom each if booked individually. This holiday home has access to a fully equipped kitchen with direct access to a patio/terrace. A TV is provided in multiple rooms. A terrace is available on site and both hiking and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the holiday home.

Church Enstone is a peaceful and very pretty small village, with many thatched houses including the 9th century St Kenelm’s Church and a huge Tithe Barn dating from 1382. Enstone sits on the border of two geological stone masses. One is the brown Hornton ironstone centring on Banbury and the other is the Oolitic limestone that is characterised as Cotswold stone. Interestingly, several buildings in the village reflect both these stones for decorative effect. We neighbour the larger village of Neat Enstone (Enstone) with it’s village store, nursery, primary school and petrol station (Worths Garage)

The area is perfect for those wishing to explore the glorious countryside of North West Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

The village links with numerous footpaths, bridleways & country lanes, popular with ramblers, motorists and cyclists.

Nearby market towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold and Stratford Upon Avon offer a choice of shopping and tourist experiences. For those wishing to enter into some retail therapy, Bicester Village is a 20 minute drive away.
