New Mediterranean restaurant concept Cavo has recently launched within the 11,300 square ft open plan restaurant with an outside terrace in the heart of new Tottenham Court Road Station development The Outernet.

Cavo is known for vibrant, seasonal and local ingredients as well as the expansive culinary expertise the Mediterranean has to offer. Rustic charm. Fearless modernity. Uncomplicated deliciousness. They will be offering a fantastic range of exquisite food and drink experiences for couples, groups of friends and for those looking for a gift for a special person in their life.

When looking at the dining options, you can choose from a huge selection of options ranging from classic a la carte to pre-theatre dining and even the taste of Cavo menu options. I’d highly recommend the Oysters to start – which are divine with a choice of mignonette, burnt garlic or citronette to accompany the dish.

We followed the starter with several dishes to share for the mains: Al-Kharshof (a Moroccan dish) consisting of pan-roasted artichoke hearts with artichoke & chickpea hummus, yoghurt and harissa which was delightful on the palette. This was then followed by Tagliolini Al Tartufo (Italian Black truffle tagliolini) with 36-month aged Parmesan cheese. The star of the show had to be the Octopus from the grill though, which was traditional Catalunya style with Parmentier and romesco sauce. This dish gave depth, flavour and texture – which is exactly what comes to mind when we think of Mediterranean dishes. There were a few dishes that needed brushing up a bit more, but this is very normal with new restaurant openings and the General Manager welcomed feedback to ensure these were raised and acted upon.

Let’s not forget the Cavo bar when you come through the walkway with leading Mixologists and a fully stocked bar, they are here to make a statement with the standout menu. From the Metaxa Old Fashioned (Metaxa 12, Perique Liqueur de Tobac, orange bitters, blood orange peel) to the Amalfi Gimlet (Malfi gin, Italicus, prosecco, lemon verbena, bitters lime) – there is something for everybody!

Cavo boasts an impressive wine cellar, drawing on the rich wine-making tradition and warm hospitality of the Mediterranean. Every bottle has been carefully sourced from small and sustainable vineyards to indulge your senses and complement our regional, seasonal dishes.

Founder Ivo Dimitrov, Bulgarian born with Greek Heritage but a London resident for 20+ years has launched similar concepts in Greece and Spain but has said that this London launch is his biggest venture to date.

Ivo Dimitrov said; “We are thrilled to be bringing our Mediterranean dining concept to one of Europe’s most lively capitals and in the coveted 4th-floor setting at the brand-new state-of-the-art The Outernet building. We’re confident our rooftop terrace and authentic Mediterranean experience will become one of London’s top dining destinations.”

Cavo is setting the scene this May to highlight the joyous occasion of the King’s Coronation. The Mediterranean restaurant will be getting into the royal spirit by offering a *SECRET red, white and blue-themed, off-menu cocktail. Make sure to mention the secret code, ‘Fit for a King’, to receive the ultimate complimentary Royal Seline to enjoy with all brunch bookings.

And that’s not all … Make the most of the long weekend by revelling in an abundance of glorious dishes with Cavo’s Seafood and Sangria brunch. Offered Saturday and Sunday – 12midday. -4pm, guests will be welcomed with a carafe of sangria paired with Cavo’s exquisite 5-course seafood menu surrounded by industrial-style interiors and unmissable views of the capital.
