Luxuria’s Group Editor Debbie Stone reviews Per Tutti
For a special birthday evening meal, we recently visited Per Tutti in Berkhamstead, which also includes locations in Harpenden, St Albans, and Radlett. With its reputation for excellent food, service, and ambience, our expectations were high, and Per Tutti certainly did not disappoint.
From the moment we stepped through the doors, the restaurant’s beautiful décor was impressive. The space is a perfect blend of modern chic and warm Italian charm. Soft romantic lighting, tastefully designed interiors, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere set the atmosphere for what was to come. We felt like we’d been transported to a chic Italian trattoria, surrounded by a buzzy fun vibe.
The service throughout the evening was first-class. The staff were attentive striking the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth and knowledgeable as far as the menu was concerned. Our server took the time to explain the menu, make recommendations, and ensure that every aspect of our evening was perfect. A small but thoughtful touch was a complimentary glass of prosecco for the birthday girl, this set the tone for a truly memorable experience.
When it came to the food, Per Tutti delivered on every aspect. The menu is thoughtfully created, offering a range of classic Italian dishes with modern twists. To start, we shared a selection of antipasti: a creamy burrata served with juicy tomatoes, a perfectly seasoned bruschetta, and the most delightful calamari, which was crispy on the outside yet tender and fresh inside. These starters were a delight and the high-quality ingredients were exactly what Per Tutti prides itself on.
For our main courses, our group opted for a variety of dishes. The birthday girl chose the lobster ravioli, which arrived in a rich, velvety bisque that was flavoursome and delicious. The pizzas were a highlight, with a perfect thin crust and mouthwatering toppings. The Pollo Alla Milanese, pan-fried chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs served with spaghetti pomodoro and salad was amazing, while the lasagne which was oven-baked with fine minced beef ragu and classic béchamel sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese served and side salad was a luxurious creamy rich treat.
The wine selection deserves a special mention. Per Tutti offers an impressive list, featuring everything from Italian classics to international favourites.
Of course, no birthday meal would be complete without dessert, and Per Tutti didn’t disappoint. The tiramisu was a table favourite, with layers of mascarpone and a coffee-soaked sponge that melted in the mouth. The panna cotta was equally divine, perfectly combining a hint of vanilla and a tart berry compote.
As we sipped our coffees to round off the evening, we couldn’t help but marvel at how Per Tutti seamlessly combines all the elements of a perfect dining experience: beautiful interiors, exceptional food, attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere. It’s no wonder their brand continues to grow, with Harpenden joining the well-established locations in Berkhamsted, St Albans, and Radlett. Each restaurant maintains the high standards and charm that have become a signature of the Per Tutti name.
In conclusion, our birthday celebration at Per Tutti was nothing short of spectacular. For anyone looking for a memorable dining experience—whether it’s a special occasion, a romantic evening, or a casual meal with friends—Per Tutti delivers on all fronts. We left feeling full, happy, and eager to return.
Here’s to many more celebrations at this gem of a restaurant!
