Kanishka by Atul Kochhar Introduces Female-Led Supper Club Series
Chef Atul Kochhar welcomes renowned female chefs into his Mayfair kitchen, kicking off the series with Romy Gill MBE.
Kanishka, the Mayfair fine dining Indian restaurant by acclaimed chef, Atul Kochhar, is delighted to announce the launch of their new female-led Sunday Supper Club series. Kicking off on 22nd October with the highly reputable Romy Gill MBE, the series will see renowned chefs join forces with Atul in the kitchen for one night only, showcasing their culinary talents through an exceptional dinner that offers a fresh perspective on traditional Indian cuisine.
A trailblazing figure in the culinary world and the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin Star for innovative, fine dining cuisine, Chef Atul Kochhar is passionate about promoting diversity within the industry. Having arrived on the Mayfair restaurant scene more than 25 years ago, the supper club series offers an opportunity for Atul to celebrate the very best female chefs throughout the UK, and collaborate alongside them to create a series of unforgettable dining experiences.
Romy Gill, Sunday 22nd October
Kicking off the series in incredible style is British/Indian chef, food writer, author and broadcaster, Romy Gill MBE. Celebrated for her innovative approach to Indian cooking, Gill has crafted an exquisite six-course menu with Atul packed full of punchy flavours that showcases the best of meat, fish and vegetables.
Standing side by side in the kitchen, Romy and Atul will each prepare a dish per course, showcasing the very best of Indian cuisine. Fusing traditional Indian flavours with the finest British ingredients, guests can enjoy highlight dishes of smoky roasted aubergine on toasted bread (RG), crispy skin sea bass, with tamarind and panch phoron coconut (RG), tawa jhinga prawns with peppers, ajwain, and tomato (AK) and lamb sukka – Kerala style dry lamb served with coconut, paratha, daal, and Rice (AK).

Following on from the inaugural event, the series will continue with Thuy Diem Pham on Sunday 26th November. Chef, culinary influencer and bestselling author, Thuy Diem Pham, is the architect behind Islington’s beloved restaurant, The Little Viet Kitchen. Now a successful restaurateur, Pham will showcase her precision and flair, infusing the flavours of authentic Vietnamese cuisine alongside Atul’s Indian cooking. More information HERE.
With Anna Haugh, Selin Kaizim and Crystelle Periera set to join Atul in the kitchen in early 2024, Kanishka’s female chef-led supper club series promises a thrilling exploration of diverse culinary experiences, with each chef bringing their unique perspective to Indian Cuisine.
