Hidden away on spectacular Freathy Cliff, this little-known corner of Cornwall is home to Sealight, a beautiful bijoux retreat with never-ending sea views. It’s a perfect spot to watch the ever-changing sea and skies, and at night gape at the blissful canopy of stars above – just gorgeous. Inside, Sealight is simply decorated in shades of white, whilst it’s wooden-clad on the outside with a sunny deck for whiling away an afternoon or two, salty breeze tousling your hair and a glass of Cornish fizz in hand. With a footpath to the three miles of golden beach right on your doorstep, this is the retreat to head to when you want a complete break. Please note, due to its location, Sealight isn’t suitable for those with mobility restrictions.

Living

Petitely perfect, this pad is made for lovers seeking a seaside bolthole away from the world. A cosy sofa for two is made for nestling up in, with a gorgeous wood burner next to it to keep you warm. Subtle lighting adds an extra chilled ambience of an evening as well, for when you want to spend hours gazing at the stars or spot the lights of fishing boats at sea through the huge windows – they can be folded back to bring the outside in on balmy nights. If the weather’s not so clement, there’s television if you fancy snuggling up with a good film on a blustery night. The decking area is just made for unwinding at dusk after a day of gazing over stunning sea views. With an outdoor table for two, it’s perfect for dining al fresco and there’s a decadent hot tub for sunset soaks with your beau – just heavenly. There’s an outside shower too to wash the sand off after a day at the beach, whilst the neat hedges offer privacy – perfect!

Eating

The cute galley kitchen is made for rustling up a romantic seafood supper. Complete with everything you need, including a Dualit toaster and kettle, equipment is hidden away – carrying on the white minimalist feel of the retreat. A cute table for two can be found nearby, set up so you can both enjoy the view over a bottle of something sparkling whilst being small enough to play footsy underneath the table…

Sleeping

The bedroom is fabulously simple, a petite love den tucked away out back so cool in summer and cosy in winter. Resplendent with cushions, the bed is super-comfy and boasts pretty artwork, fab lighting, hanging space and a floor-to-ceiling mirror.

Bathing

There’s a single shower and a heated towel rail so you’ll soon be toasty warm after a bracing clifftop walk.

Outside space

Relax and unwind on the outside decking area, complete with an intimate outdoor table and chairs for dining al fresco. A blissful spot to catch sight of rolling Cornish waves in the soft evening sun. With the beauty of seclusion and unparalleled ocean vistas, you’ll never want to leave. After a sandy afternoon on the beach, you can clean off in the outdoor shower – perfect for your furry four-legged friend too! For the dreamiest eve, soak in luxury with Sealight’s heavenly hot tub and gaze over sunset views with a glass of sparkle in hand; an oh-so-romantic addition to this coastal love nest.

Babies

Sealight welcomes babes in arms (under 6 months) – please bring your own baby equipment.

WiFi

Sealight has broadband so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.

Dogs

Sealight accepts one small, well-behaved and trained dog. Sorry, no puppies are allowed and must be over 12 months old. We charge £35 per week or short break.
