Aztec Hotel & Spa – a contemporary Spa Hotel in Bristol
Aztec Hotel & Spa is a contemporary spa hotel in an ideal location. It’s in an excellent location for a stopover on the way to Cornwall, or for staying and exploring Bath and Bristol. I had the pleasure of having an Autumnal Spa Day at Aztec which was delightful from beginning to end. This time of year is brilliant for plenty of self-care and enriching yourself in luxury spa days.
Upon arrival, I was welcomed by friendly staff and handed a delicious mocktail to sip whilst having a tour of the spa. Aztec Spa has created a brand new Relaxation Lounge which was my favourite aspect of the Spa. As soon as I walked into the Relaxation Lounge, I instantly had a feeling of tranquility and calmness. I knew I was in for a treat! This lounge is equipped with three manicure and pedicure chairs and beautiful spa products. There was a small kitchen area where you can help yourself to refreshments, fruit, and healthy smoothies.
The colour palette in the Relaxation Lounge is an interior designer’s dream! Gorgeous grey and white tones, with comfy lounging chairs and tables. I was spoilt for choice with lots of space to put my feet up and relax. It was the definition of a cosy corner.
The spa really was a haven for switching off and recharging. From the warm sauna to the relaxing hot tub, there is something for everyone. Aztec Spa accommodates four treatment rooms – I recommend the Scalp and Back Massage completely. I felt so relaxed with the gorgeous aromas around the room and the subdued music, it really was the greatest pampering experience. At Aztec Spa, you will find many other treatments such as facials, aromatherapy, men-specific treatments, and body scrubs using products from top brands such as Caudalie and Temple Spa.
I can see why Aztec Spa is voted the UK’s Best Boutique Spa in the Good Spa Awards 2022.
If you love fitness, at Aztec you have all the machines you need for a complete workout, featuring state-of-the-art features and technology to help you to achieve your fitness goals. If you love using gym facilities whilst having a Spa day, this is a great addition.
After a relaxing time at the spa, it was time for afternoon tea at the Curious Kitchen. The Kitchen had a very cosy vibe, with high ceilings and a Cotswold stone fireplace. Afternoon tea is served daily in the Curious Kitchen, created by their experienced pastry chef.
The afternoon tea was very beautifully presented, the first course of the magnific Afternoon Tea includes West Country Keens cheddar and chutney on rye, Severn & Wye smoked salmon, Devon caught white crab & mayonnaise on rye, Somerset cider glazed Wiltshire ham with tracklements piccalilli and Burford brown free-range egg mayonnaise with Evesham watercress on freshly baked white bread. The afternoon tea was delivered to such a high standard and the glass of Prosecco went down a treat!
I left the Aztec Spa feeling refreshed, recharged, and at peace. This is in the ideal location if you’re looking for a Spa that is easy to get to and has all the facilities you could need.
