“Snatched” is a word often thrown around after aesthetic treatments, but in my case, I’d prefer to say “beautifully contoured.”

This was my second visit to the incredible Dr Barbara Kubicka at Clinicbe, a discreet and stylish haven tucked away in a London mews.

I arrived for my follow-up appointment with Dr Kubicka to assess whether I needed a little Botox or filler top-up. I didn’t think I did, but Dr. Kubicka’s expert eye is far more discerning than mine. With her signature blend of precision and warmth, she suggested a few additional, painless drops of Botox to refine my crow’s feet and subtly soften my frown lines.

The next step was deciding whether ‘threads’ would enhance the already fantastic results from my Botox and dermal filler. Dr Kubicka agreed that a few carefully placed threads would elevate my cheeks, soften my nasolabial lines, and sharpen my jawline.

After 30 minutes of Emla cream and several tiny anaesthetic pinpricks on each cheek and along the jawline, easily the most uncomfortable part of the procedure, it was time for the threads. PLACL Thread Lift was used to lift my cheeks, while PDO Thread Lift was expertly placed along my jawline for definition. The entire procedure took about 45 minutes, with discomfort barely registering above a 2 on the “ouch factor” scale. A little tenderness and mild swelling followed for 24 hours, but a week later? No bruising, no discomfort, just stunning results.

My cheeks? Almost Kris Jenner-level sculpted, almost! My jawline? Back for the first time since my 30s.
