Kayon Resort Bali – A Luxurious Experience Awaits

The Kayon Resort, located in the heart of Ubud, Bali, is a magnificent, serene retreat that offers a revitalising experience surrounded by nature. Located in the traditional village of Bresela, approximately 10 minutes from the vibrant Ubud town centre, the resort feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle, providing visitors with a tranquil getaway with spectacular views of the tropical jungle and the neighbouring Petanu River.

Accommodation: A Blend of Comfort and Tradition

The Kayon Resort has a variety of lodgings designed to immerse tourists in Balinese culture while maintaining modern amenities. The resort has 23 spacious and nicely equipped rooms, villas, and suites, all with a private terrace or balcony overlooking the verdant forest.

I stayed in one of the River Edge Pool Villas, which offered the ideal blend of luxury and solitude. Getting up every morning to the sound of the river flowing below and having my private pool to relax in felt like a dream. The rooms are attractively furnished with traditional Balinese accents while yet providing all of the modern facilities one may require, making it a great retreat from the outside world.

Serenity Spa and Wellness

One of the pleasures of my trip was a visit to the Serayu Spa. I had the most beautiful massage from therapist Okta while listening to the relaxing sound of a nearby waterfall. It was an incredible experience—the mix of skilful hands, warm oils, and the serene natural settings elevated relaxation to a new level. The Royal Balinese Massage I picked felt incredibly restorative, and the spa’s serene environment, set in the jungle, just contributed to the peace.

The spa’s tranquil riverfront setting, with its green surroundings and serene atmosphere, creates a haven of relaxation and wellness. The treatments are based on traditional Balinese healing methods, and they are intended to leave you feeling entirely rejuvenated.

Exquisite Dining Options

The resort’s main eating area, Kepitu Restaurant, is situated by the pool with views of the surrounding forest. With an emphasis on using only the freshest, most locally obtained products, the meal was always great. I enjoyed the chef’s unique Balinese tasting menu one evening, which was a fascinating exploration of the flavours of the area. The restaurant serves a wide range of cuisines, so every meal is unique, whether you’re in the mood for classic Western fare or more traditional Balinese fare.

There is more intimacy when dining at Canyon Jetty. This riverbank location, tucked away beside the river, is perfect for intimate or romantic evenings. I had dinner there one night, and it was a lovely setting with flickering candlelight while I ate freshly cooked seafood. The experience was enhanced by the sounds of nature surrounding me while dining by the sea.

Jungle pool

The Kayon Resort boasts an stunning environment. The peaceful ambience of the resort is enhanced by its construction around a natural waterfall. The gorgeous infinity pool with its view of the jungle was one of my favourite spots to unwind. Floating in the pool and staring at the surrounding lush greenery and waterfall has a certain dreamy quality. The sound of the running water provides a soothing background to this wonderful place to spend a peaceful afternoon.

Experiences and Activities

The Kayon Resort offers a variety of activities that immerse guests in Bali’s natural beauty and culture.

• Morning Yoga: Amidst the sounds of nature, guests can begin their day with serene yoga sessions in the outdoor pavilion.
• Cultural visits and Treks: To provide guests with an insight into Balinese culture, the resort arranges guided visits to neighbouring rice terraces, temples, and villages
