Wellness Spa

Take your relaxing trip to a new level by experiencing a Spa Day at the Wellness Spa. The Celtic Thermal Suite is a series of heated and cooling rooms inspired by ancient therapies to relax and rejuvenate. Offering six unique pods, each with its therapeutic benefit focused on the rebalance of mind, body, and soul. Herbal steams will relax, salts will cleanse, and the heat of a traditional brick sauna will penetrate surface muscular tensions. It’s a great place to begin your spa experience.

Here’s an insight into what you can expect when you visit the Spa:

Experience Showers

Indulge in a series of three showers where you control the temperature and pressure of the water. Try a cooling shower between the heated rooms to tighten pores and cleanse away toxins.

Steam Rooms

Open your pores to release trapped toxins and absorb botanical elements into the skin. These rooms are beneficial for calming muscular aches and pains.

Marine Steam Room: Infused with lavender essence and marine scent, this room invigorates and cleanses.

Herbal Steam Room: Featuring a tea tree and mint essence, this room helps clear airways and relieve congestion, making breathing easier.

Ice Pod

After a heat experience, use ice to stimulate your circulation. Rub the ice onto your body in a circular motion to tone, refresh, and stimulate the skin and muscles.

Sea Salt Cave

Rich in minerals that aid healing, the natural salts in this room deeply cleanse and prepare your body for the thermal experience. This room is ideal for those with asthma, dry skin, and respiratory problems.

Hydrotherapy Pool

Relax in a pool heated to body temperature, which helps relax muscles and support your body weight. Overhead and underwater jets assist with tension in your upper and lower back, shoulders, and neck.

Saunas

The intense heat increases blood flow and helps you sweat out toxins, creating a stronger immune system by boosting white blood cell production.

Celtic Sauna: This sauna has the highest heat intensity and is self-regulating, using a Pembrokeshire bracken scent and moist heat.

Brick Sauna: This sauna offers dry heat that self-regulates for warming relaxation, beneficial for easing muscular aches, pains, and tension.

Meditation Room

A candlelit, tranquil space designed to help you de-stress, unwind, and reset before you leave the Well Spa.

Dining

No matter what your dining preference is, there is something for everyone at Bluestone. Whether you’re a family looking forward to delicious homemade pizza, a couple’s date night or a group dining celebration with your friends/family, you will find a restaurant for you. There is also a very convenient option of delivery where you can order straight to your lodge.

Black Pool Mill

Black Pool Mill is situated just off the Bluestone resort, in Minwear Wood. It’s a short drive away or a 20 minute walk depending on your preference. Black Pool Mill offers delicious food created from some of Pembrokeshire’s best produce. The beautiful Georgian Black Pool Mill was built in 1813 to grind flour for Pembrokeshire. Situated on the picturesque banks of the River Cleddau, this is a must-visit whilst staying at Bluestone Resort. Whether you’re looking for a coffee and cake stop after a stroll through Canaston Wood, a leisurely lunch with the family, or a romantic dinner for just the two of you, Black Pool Mill is the place to visit.

The restaurant has two dining floors for guests to use, an upper floor dedicated to an industrial kitchen where chefs use ingredients where possible from local suppliers to create authentic Welsh dishes, and there is a top-floor banqueting area.

At Black Pool Mill, you can enjoy two unique private dining spaces perfect for intimate dinners, landmark celebrations and corporate events. We dined at Miller’s Study – The cosy wood panelling and AGA stove of the Miller’s Study create a warm and welcoming atmosphere any time of year. The Landsker 8oz sirloin steak paired with balsamic onions, fondant potato, green beans and bearnaise sauce was delicious. The staff at Black Pool Mill went above and beyond to make the dining experience one to remember!

Sustainability

At Bluestone, they believe that they must run the business sustainably and responsibly, and in pursuit of that aim, they have developed Free Range Future – a movement that encompasses a wide range of projects and initiatives intended to benefit the community and ensure their environmental footsteps are as light as possible. Their ‘Free Range’ ethos encourages guests to have a fun-filled experience while knowing they’re taking steps to preserve the environment during their stay.

They champion pioneering sustainable initiatives onsite – they’ve built pathways made from 60,000 recycled nappies (a world first), heat its water park using locally sourced biomass instead of oil, turn the 80 tonnes of food waste every year into green energy and fertiliser, turn used cooking oil into biodiesel.

After staying at Bluestone, you can see why this is Wales’ top-rated holiday resort. There is so much to do and see – it is the perfect place for families and friends to switch off and relax. The park serves as a gateway to explore beautiful Pembrokeshire, with some of the UK’s best beaches, beauty spots, quaint towns & villages, and coastal adventures on the doorstep.
