Park Corner Brasserie: Mayfair’s newest destination to experience the Best of British
Park Corner Brasserie launches three new menus: its Weekday Set Menu for unbeatable value and local flavour in the heart of Mayfair, a limited-edition Taste of Zero Waste and its Sunday Roast for a truly British experience with all the trimmings
The ideal Mayfair venue for a quintessentially British weekend – take a walk in Hyde Park followed by a delicious seasonal lunch.
Park Corner Brasserie’s Sunday Roast from £22 per guest.
On the corner of Park Lane, where bustling Mayfair meets majestic Hyde Park, is a buzzy British brasserie celebrating the very best of the UK’s national larder. The beating heart of the iconic London Hilton on Park Lane, Park Corner Brasserie is the perfect place for an everyday treat, a casual but memorable lunch with great friends, an important business meeting, or a celebratory feast.
Fresh from launching last year and already a staple for those looking for a quintessentially British dining experience, Park Corner Brasserie unveils its must-try Sunday Roast, its consciously creative ‘Taste of Zero Waste’ and great value Weekday Set Menus, bringing the restaurant’s sumptuous take on traditional British classics to the heart of Mayfair.
All three menus are chock-full of dishes and drinks made with love by people who care. Bursting with flavour, obsessively seasonal, no-nonsense and low waste.
For craveable cult classics featuring the best of British produce with modern European influence, Executive Chef Jean-Didier (“JD”) Gouges has crafted a tasty and affordable Weekday Set Menu at £22 for two courses and £29 for three courses, featuring dishes such as Goat’s Curd with black truffle honey on grilled sourdough and Westway pale battered cod, mushy peas and chips followed by rich chocolate tart with peanut butter ice cream.
From root-to-shoot and nose-to-tail cookery to pickling, fermenting, and rescuing unused breakfast items, Park Corner Brasserie’s limited-edition Taste of Zero Waste menu heroes techniques in use in the brasserie’s kitchen every single day. Dishes include a zero-waste salad topped with all-too-often discarded flavoursome carrot tops and earthy beetroot greens; potato peel chips and a sumptuous bread and butter pudding, flavoured with ripe bananas and topped with a caramel sauce made with leftover fruit peel.
The robust Sunday Roast menu celebrates completely free-range meat and ingredients sourced from local farms and promises to delight, with all the comfort expected of the Sunday tradition. Guests can enjoy the most delicious day of the week with the indulgent roast scotch beef fillet, or by sharing the whole roast chicken with herbs and lemon butter or the stuffed butternut squash with chestnut, cranberry and pomegranate as a vegan option. Luscious signature sides include creamed celeriac, corn ribs with lime chilli salt and BBQ sauce and lobster mac & cheese, as well as all the traditional trimmings, including crispy roast potatoes, heritage carrots, and moreish Yorkshire puddings. Complete the experience with the apple & berry crumble with vanilla custard or the sticky toffee and caramelized plum with clotted cream ice cream for the ultimate in weekend decadence. Wash it down with a glass or two of something special from the cellar or mix it up with a Park Corner cocktail such as Lemon Serpentine Breeze, a delicious rosemary spritz or the Mayfair Sunset Latte, a twist on the cult-favourite espresso martini.
With one foot in London and one in nature – a walk in Hyde Park is an unmistakably British thing to do, and so is gathering great friends around a table for Chef JD’s new menus offering the best of seasonal and local produce.
Executive Chef Jean-Didier Gouges says, “I am delighted to launch our Weekday Set Menu, our Taste of Zero Waste and the PCB Sunday Roast. Our team of talented chefs bring an incredibly diverse range of skills and cooking techniques from all corners of the world, but what brings us all together is our unwavering commitment to local provenance, the best ingredients from the best local suppliers. It’s not just about quality – we believe strongly in working with and supporting our local community and being as sustainable in our sourcing and buying as we are with our preparation and delivery: minimum waste, maximum flavour.”
