How to Create Your Dream Life in Reality

The idea of a dream life is more often than not left at being just that — a dream. You spend time daydreaming about the places you would go, the cars you would drive there, and the homes you might come home to own. Well, what if you stopped dreaming and started actively trying to create that dream life in reality? Making your dream life into the life you live every day is a possibility if you work smart and put in the effort. Here are some tips that will help you realize your dreams and live the life you’ve always wanted.

1.   Clarify Your Vision

You can’t move toward something you don’t see clearly for yourself. First, you’ll need to clarify the vision you want to recreate in reality. What are the specifics of the life you want? You might want to include some things on your list:

●      Is a dream job part of your dream life? What is that dream job: do you want to be your own boss? Do you want to earn an income from travel blogging, running a YouTube channel, or forex trading full-time? Or do you want to work for a premium organization?

●      Do you want to own a house in a big city, live on a sprawling estate in the country, or maybe even live the island life? Where you want to live will play a significant role in the lifestyle you lead and how you go about achieving your goals.

●      Do you want a family? Do you want to be single or find a partner?

You can analyze and flesh out these ideas in great detail, but you must be clear on these three things to begin building toward your dream life. Some people may practice manifestation, the belief that your thoughts and actions may bring something you want into your life. This may be taking steps like the above, keeping a journal, or even creating a mood board featuring images representing your dream life somewhere you can see it daily. Visualize the life you want clearly and in detail; ask for it, work for it, and think about it positively.

2.   A Goal-Oriented Mindset

To get anywhere, you must understand how to set and achieve short-, medium-, and long-term goals that ultimately lead to achieving the lifestyle you imagine for yourself. Creating a goal-oriented mindset will help you through the times when you feel like you aren’t getting where you need to be as quickly as you would like. Essentially, you’ve got to prepare for the long haul because no one brings dreams to life overnight.

Be as specific as you can with your goals and write them down — along with reasonable timelines — to keep track of what you’ve achieved. Measuring your progress will help keep negative thoughts at bay during the process.

●      Short-term goals (around a 1-year plan) may be finishing a course, perfecting a new skill, starting networking, or opening a savings account.

●      Medium-term goals (around a 5-year plan) may be things like getting promoted at work or starting a business in your chosen field, buying a small home or car, making wise investments that will pay off in the future, or having your first child.

●      Long-term goals (10+ year plan) would be purchasing the kind of luxury home you have always dreamed of, taking your family on overseas holidays, sending all your kids to college, opening a factory or studio in your chosen field, or buying the Bentley you’ve always coveted.

Without detailed goals and a timeline like the one above, you’ll be in the uncomfortable position of wanting to get somewhere without a road map for the drive. Your dream life is your destination, and your goals and timelines are the maps that will get you from where you are to where you want to be.

3.   Act Wisely With the Big Picture in Mind

It can become challenging to wait for your goals to become reality. Immediate gratification may sneak up and demand that you spend money on new clothes, a fancy gift, or a dinner at a five-star restaurant that you don’t necessarily need to go to.

It’s human nature to want to feel gratification now rather than later, but this is where thinking wisely with the big picture in mind comes into play. This will keep you on the path to your end goal rather than allowing you to be distracted along the way.

It’s important to remember to reward yourself for sticking to your goals. There’s nothing wrong with a little treat now and then (within budget). After all, life is the journey, not just the destination. But it’s also important to keep those rewards within the bounds of the path to your ultimate goals. Hold off on the Gucci and diamonds and withdrawing money from your carefully made investments for long-term goals, and give yourself reasonable boosts and rewards along the way.

Luxury Life Awaits

Whether you believe in manifestation, hard work, or both, these steps will help get you closer to living the kind of life you’ve always dreamed of. Creating a life that’s so good you wonder when you’ll wake up is doable if you stick to your plan and work smart.
