Dr Ghanem Clinic presents the new EMFACE technology
It always stuns me just how technology moves on in all areas, but in the cosmetic and aesthetic arena it grows exponentially, for both the face and body. The main objective being to increase overall confidence by ridding us of whatever troubles us, be it our lines and wrinkles, poor skin laxity, acne scaring, lack of or excess fat, stretch marks and the list goes on. There’s a treatment for everything.
I’ve tried a few aesthetic treatments and I’m a huge advocate of the importance of carrying out extensive research into the chosen clinic, practitioner and treatment, due diligence is of paramount importance. I did a lot of this when I was offered to try a completely new technology – EMFACE at The Ghanem Clinic in Upper Wimpole Street, the aesthetics hub of London.
Professor Ali Ghanem (clinic owner) is a multi-award-winning Consultant Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeon. He offers a complete range of facial procedures and body contouring treatments, including his signature Total Facial Refresh. Professor Ghanem is the first to introduce EMFACE in the UK.
EMFACE is the latest generation of non-invasive facial contouring and rejuvenation. This innovative, patented new treatment, builds on the award-winning EmSculpt technology, combining synchronised radio frequency (RF) and HIFES technology to treat facial skin and muscles at the same time. The combined effect of skin remodeling with muscle toning results in enhanced wrinkle reduction and overall facial lifting.
It is recommended that you have a course of four twenty-minute sessions, over four weeks, and this is exactly the programme that I had. On the second and fourth treatments, there were a few booster injectables of polypeptides and hyaluronic acid to further enhance the tightening effect of the EMFACE. On a pain factor scale of one to ten, ten being unbearable, these mini jabs were a one, I personally experienced virtually no bruising, just one little one on my cheek, it was gone within a day or two.
The EMFACE sessions are each twenty minutes long and involve sticky pads being applied to the forehead, cheeks and one on the back, leading to the EMFACE machine which is then switched on. The therapist then increased the impact by percentage, at 20 % for me there was a little warmth. Within five minutes I was up to 100%, the feeling was of warmth and a little prickly, definitely not painful and for me not even uncomfortable, in fact, I probably could have fallen asleep. There is no downtime from the EMFACE, you may look a little rosy for an hour or two afterward, due to the heat. The full effect of EMFACE is not obvious for a few weeks after the course is completed.
I could see a marked improvement immediately following the first session, my cheeks seemed without a doubt a little more full. I would say about three weeks after my fourth session I could see more definition on my cheeks, my jawline looked more firm and there were fewer wrinkles on my upper lip area. The skin had a glow about it and my nasal lines were softer, I couldn’t be more happy.
This treatment was easy to have, highly effective and best of all it is long-lasting and non-invasive. I’ve had at least three people who know me fairly well make positive comments regarding my facial appearance. I have found it very easy to sing the praises of EMFACE, but I have to add I do think this was due to the expertise of Professor Ghanem to make a full and concise diagnosis as to my requirements and expectations, versus what could realistically be achieved.
