Old Church Farm – A thousand years of History!
Old Church Farm is a five star, award-winning luxury accommodation set in the beautiful area of Rudgeway in South Gloucestershire. This gorgeous property boasts seven bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and king-sized beds.
The Grade II listed building is steeped in history, the origins of which date back to King Harold of Wessex, who used it as used a hunting lodge. William the Conqueror made Alveston Manor (its former name) a Crown Estate and was subsequently used by five Kings of England. It gets its current name from the now ruin of the 12th Century church within its grounds.
The property exudes charm, character and history. Whilst the farmhouse pays homage to its heritage with period furniture pieces and art spanning the centuries the building and service offered cater to 21st Century comforts.
Old Church Farm has won multiple awards over the past few years including the eviivo Hidden Gem Award 2019 and Star Among Stars Award 2019 and is renowned for its incredible location, delicious home-grown and made food and quality service.
We’re very grateful to online booking platform eviivo, for giving us the amazing opportunity to review this property and explore what the quintessential British staycation will look like post-COVID-19.
